About Blip and Blab

Blip and Blab children's English video program makes learning fun! This innovative program was designed by ESL experts together with respected entertainment producers. Together, they have created a learning aid that effectively teaches while maintaining attention span and enthusiasm. And most importantly - this series works!

The 10 included Blip and Blab video episodes can be used by any non-native English speaker. Each episode contains approximately 30 minutes of fun language learning programs designed to hold the interest of children of all ages and nationalities. Similar to Sesame StreetTM in its presentation and layout, children will want to watch these episodes over and over until they have memorized all the presented English vocabulary.

Blip and Blab incorporates an intrinsically designed educational curriculum that teaches English with high powered musical entertainment. Children will have fun while learning. They are more apt to repeat viewings to maximize new language retention. Basically, Blip and Blab utilizes the Immersion Method of language training and allows the student to see, hear, and interact while the action keeps them wanting more.

The main storyline is built around two fun-loving aliens named Blip and Blab who are visiting Earth from a distant planet to learn English. While they are studying, they get involved in many zany adventures with Earth children. Blip and Blab start with the basics - numbers, letters, colors, adjectives, et cetera, and then advance to conversational English and more complex structures.

Filled with music, fun, and colorful animation, Blip and Blab is an out-of-this-world approach to learning English as a Second Language for children. This course is essential for every ESL program or individual looking for a convenient and entertaining way to give their child a head start learning English.

Program Contents:

Video Number 1 - Meet Blip and Blab
Children meet Blip and Blab and start to teach them English. Blip and Blab land their spaceship in a garage where a group of children hang out. When they find themselves unable to communicate, the children decide to teach them English. And this leads to some surprising situations! This fun-packed, high powered, science fiction-like video has 3 songs that will motivate your child to practice, and teaches colors, numbers, sizes, and time.

Video Number 2 - Day at the Beach
While children are showing Blip and Blab seaside pictures in a book, they are transported as if by magic to the same beach. Then, it's one adventure after the other - surfing, a whale that swallows them up, underwater scenes, a desert island, a genie from a bottle, pirates and a treasure chest. While there Blip and Blab learn conjugations, genders, verb forms, and positions and adjectives.

Video Number 3 - My House
Left alone in the home of an eccentric family, Blip and Blab create a hopeless mess while they explore the rooms. The fun continues as the family return and start to clean up the mess. Then there's a riotous dinner, with turkey problems that are enough to make mother faint! Next to the family and their daily activities, Blip and Blab and your child learn about positions and new verb forms, the family and activities like sleeping, getting dressed, breakfast, going to school, dinner and cleaning up.

Video Number 4 - Let's Make a Movie
Blip's magic powers conjure up a camera and studio set, where kids start to make their own movie. Fast moving old-time movie sequences are mixed with contemporary situations and some unique song & dance performances by the children. But there's still time in between for Blip and Blab, together with your child, to learn some new verbs, question forms and much more.

Video Number 5 - The Time Machine
With the help of Blab's time machine, the children go back to the stone age. As they hide in a cave from a ferocious dinosaur, they encounter another danger: a prehistoric man. Next stop in their time journey is a Middle Ages castle, where they fight off a witch with magic rays. A trip to the future completes this learning adventure, in which children learn all about the past tense.

Video Number 6 - The Mystery
A disappearing necklace turns into an unusually funny detective adventure, with many unexpected situations as the kids are investigated. Wearing 1920s-style costumes, Blip and Blab perform a musical review. But there's a perfectly innocent answer, even though it involves a space journey for one of the children. In this episode, it's time to learn about past tenses and irregular verbs.

Video Number 7 - 24 Hours With Blip and Blab
It's time for Blip and Blab to find out what the weather on earth is like, as they experience sun and rain, heat and cold, snow and wind. They also take a look at all the wonders of nature and the changing seasons, underscored by romantic songs and lyrics. There's a lot to learn in this episode, with object pronouns, weather and seasons, months of the year and the days of the week.

Video Number 8 - The Camping Trip
After a seemingly unending hike to a campsite and take a whole series of adventures, the children experience just about everything that can go wrong on a camping trip. So when they're safely back home, they decide they prefer watching television, and resolve never to go camping again. During all their adventures, there's still time for learning, with the use of the future tenses.

Video Number 9 - The Talk Show
Is it the Talk Show or is it Blip and Blab? One thing is for sure, there's a whole series of very unusual situations, with songs, a hypnotist, talent spotting, a beautiful woman - even a bear that gets in on the act! The final Broadway-style number features a musical review with full costumes. But the learning isn't neglected either, with comparative forms and adjectives.

Video number 10 - The Songs
All 28 songs from the Blip and Blab series are compiled in this episode, which gives children a great opportunity to recall what they've learnt and practice it for themselves by singing along. Or of course it can be used separately, as entertainment programme that children will want to watch again and again! Just a few of the language topics covered in the songs are colours, time, days, months and seasons, sizes, asking questions and special people.
