Welcome to our Bosnian page, featuring books, courses, and software to help you learn Bosnian!
Bosnian is a south Slavic language spoken primarily in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is mutually intelligible with standard Croatian and Serbian, with about 2.7 million speakers. Before the breakup of Yugoslavia, Serbo-Croatian was considered to be one language; since the fall, Bosnians, Croatians, and Serbians have all viewed their languages as more distinct from one another. However, there are some linguists who assert that they have always been distinct languages, and their status should be compared to Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian. For more on the differences, check this Wikipedia article.
