Developed by the Choctaw Nation for teachers, moms and grandmoms to teach their children. The program is currently being used to teach the fundamentals of the language in schools and pre-schools in Oklahoma and around the world. Choctaw-English Dictionary Cyrus Byington
Edited by John Swanton and submitted to the Bureau of Ethnology on April 22, 1909, this dictionary has been the standard for the Choctaw language, and a "must-have" for any serious language learner. The Choctaw Language Department is currently updating the Dictionary standardizing the alphabet.The project is estimated to take five years. While this work is being done, the original dictionary will continue to be available. 611 pages.
