Hiligaynon (or Ilonggo) is a member of the Visayan language family, and is an Austronesian language spoken in Western Visayas in the Philippines, with about 7 million native speakers, and 4 million who are partially fluent in it as a second language. Hiligaynon is mostly spoken in the provinces of Iloilo and Negros Occidental, but also in other provinces of the Panay Island group, and parts of Mindanao.
