Quenya and Sindarin are languages created by J.R.R. Tolkien for his epic Lord of the Rings trilogy. Which Earth languages do Quenya and Sindarin most closely resemble?

Quenya, the preserved language of lore and ceremonies, resembles the Finnish language, with it's open sounds and frequent vowel endings, while Sindarin, the main language of LOTR-age elves, with its many consonant clusters, resembles a Celtic-like or Welsh language. However, Tolkien's keen ear and love of languages led him to also incorporate elements from Latin, Spanish, (and) Greek.
