Welcome to the Oromo page! Oromo (or Afaan Oromoo, Oromiffa, Afan Boran, Afan Arsi) is the most widely spoken Cushitic language, and a member of the Afro-Asiatic language grouping. Oromo is spoken as a first language by nearly 26 million Oromo in Ethiopia and Kenya, with about 95% in Ethiopia; within Ethiopia, 40% of the population speak Oromo.
