Free Vietnamese Dictionary Project - Online dictionary for English-Vietnamese (110,000 words), Vietnamese-English (23,000), French-Vietnamese (48,000), Vietnamese-French (39,000), German-Vietnamese (45,000), Vietnamese-German (12,000), Vietnamese monolingual (30,000), and Norwegian-Vietnamese (20,000), plus the English monolingual dictionary Wordnet 1.6, and the FOLDOC computing dictionary. Receives input and output in Telex, VNI, VIQR, TCVN, and Unicode, and with audible pronunciations of the words translated. The databases are in the format used by the DICT protocol, i.e., they can be used with a DICT server, and there are a number of mirrors of the site listed with different language Interfaces. Also with a free downloadable Windows executable for all the dictionaries.

The Etymology of Nôm of Chinese Origin - Searchable online dictionary for HánNôm. HánNôm or Sinitic-Vietnamese is a term to denote those Vietnamese words that have been derived or originated from the Chinese language. This study will present approximately 20,000 Sinitic-Vietnamese (HanNom) entries including words of monosyllabics, polysyllabics, and compounds, not counting those of Sino-Vietnamese (HanViet). Translations are into phonetic Vietnamese equivalents, plus an English text definition.

VACETS Dictionary Project - The English-Vietnamese Technical Terms Translation Project is an open forum to discuss the technical terminology used in Vietnamese documents; the aim is to produce an English-Vietnamese database of technical terms. Initially, the project was confined to the field of Computer Science, with some extension into the fields of Electrical, Electronic Engineering, and Telecommunication. The project was initiated and managed by VACETS (Vietnamese Association for Computing, Engineering Technology, and Science), but is open to all who are interested.
